Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that the war with Iran has caused a global energy crisis and warned that oil production dependent on transport through the Strait of Hormuz could soon come to a complete halt.
According to Reuters, Putin stated that Moscow is ready to work again with European buyers if they want to return to long-term, non-politicized cooperation.
Putin also said that Russian companies should take advantage of the current situation in the Middle East, although he indicated that the price increase might be temporary.
