Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from BRICS member countries on the sidelines of the 6th BRICS summit in Kazan, Tatarstan, from October 22 to 24, according to the Kremlin.
The 16th BRICS summit is being held under Russia's chairmanship, with the theme: “Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security.”
In a statement, the Kremlin announced that Putin will engage in discussions with nearly all the summit leaders.
"The leaders at the BRICS summit will focus on current international issues, particularly the escalating situation in the Middle East. They will also discuss collaboration between BRICS countries and the Global South to promote sustainable development," the statement read.
The 16th BRICS summit will evaluate the outcomes of Russia's presidency within the group, which features 10 countries, three of which are Arab nations, according to RT.
