Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his condolences to Kuwaiti new Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the passing of his brother, Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
"Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad rightfully commanded great authority in the Middle East. His dedicated efforts contributed substantially to the socioeconomic development of Kuwait and the elevation of the country’s standing in the international arena," Putin said in his message.
"We appreciate his personal contribution to fostering strong and friendly Russian-Kuwaiti relations," he added.
Moreover, Russian President asked to convey his sincere sympathy and support to all members of the Al-Sabah family and the friendly people of Kuwait.
