Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Muslims around the world who celebrate Eid al-Adha on Saturday, sending wishes to all who are enjoying this joyous occasion.
“Eid al-Adha, the holiday that marks the end of the pilgrimage to ancient Islamic shrines, has a profound moral and spiritual meaning, and serves to unite people and preserve the enduring values of love, kindness and mercy," Putin wrote in the message. "I wish you health, success, happiness, and prosperity.”
In like manner, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson wished all Muslims "a very happy and blessed Eid al-Adha."

Moreover, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres wrote on Twitter: “My warmest wishes to everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha."
