Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Moscow "if he is ready," stressing, "I informed Trump of my readiness to meet Zelensky in Moscow."
Putin added, "Zelensky’s mandate has expired, and a meeting with him will not bring results," noting, "We are not fighting in Ukraine for land but for people’s rights."
He emphasized, "Ukraine has the right to choose its security guarantees, and so do we," adding, "Russia has always opposed Ukraine’s accession to NATO."
The Russian president described the results of his visit to China as positive, pointing out that China’s working style allows meetings with foreign colleagues in an informal atmosphere.
Putin affirmed, "The documents adopted during my visit to China are future-oriented," adding, "The unity of all countries gathered in China reflects a positive intention and confidence in achieving goals."
He further noted, "Agreements with China are beneficial for both sides, and global demand for energy is increasing, including in China."
