Putin Hails Comprehensive Partnership Btw Russia, China

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In a statment, the Kremlin also indicated that Putin intends to hold talks with Xi Jinping within the framework of the " One Belt One Road" forum, which is scheduled to be held in China in October next year.

The Russian president also pointed out that the relations between Russia and China are characterized by comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation.

"Dear friend, I hope you will accept our heartfelt congratulations on the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Under your leadership, China is moving confidently on the path of social, economic, scientific, and technological development, strengthening its position on the world stage and actively participating in addressing the most important issues on the regional and global agenda," Putin said in a message to Xi.

Putin expressed his confidence that the negotiations with Chinese  at the " One Belt One Road" forum will contribute to building the overall Russian-Chinese relations.

On September 20, 2023, President Putin announced during his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that he had accepted the invitation of Chinese leader Xi Jinping to attend the " One Belt One Road" forum in China next month.

"Of course, it is my pleasure to accept the invitation of Chinese leader Xi Jinping and visit your country in October next year to attend the 'One Belt One Road' forum," Putin said.

Moreover, he stressed that the "One Belt One Road" project fully meets Russia's interests and is consistent with Russia's aspirations to create a Greater Eurasian Space.
