Dmitry Peskov, Spokesman for the Russian Presidency (the Kremlin), stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, today, Monday.
Peskov confirmed this in response to a question on the matter, saying: "Yes, we confirm that the call is scheduled," according to the Russian news agency TASS.
The Turkish President had announced earlier today during a press conference held in South Africa that he intends to speak with Putin tomorrow, Monday.
Erdoğan clarified that during the call, he plans to raise the issue of resuming the grain corridor agreements, noting that this initiative is truly aimed at paving the way for peace.
Erdoğan added that he also intends to discuss steps that can be taken to halt the loss of life
