Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced on Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday, according to "Sputnik".
Responding to journalists' questions regarding the Palestinian President's visit to Moscow tomorrow, Peskov said: "Yes, I confirm that Palestinian President Abbas will indeed be in Moscow for a working visit, and Russian-Palestinian talks will take place tomorrow."
This comes after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized on Tuesday that the establishment of a Palestinian state is of paramount importance for resolving the Gaza crisis, particularly in light of the "Peace Council" initiative launched by U.S. President Donald Trump.
