The Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards witness daily incursions by settlers, except for Fridays and Saturdays, when incursions occur in two shifts. Morning and evening prayers, amid a heavy security presence of Israeli police and intelligence forces.
Last week, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a dangerous development when a Jewish rabbi, Aryeh Cohen, blew the shofar (trumpet) during his storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque accompanied by hundreds of settlers, to celebrate the beginning of the Jewish New Year.
