A far-right and anti-Islam Danish group set fire to a copy of the Quran in front of the Iraqi Embassy in the capital city of Copenhagen.
A video capturing the desecration of the Quran and the Iraqi flag went viral on social media on Friday.
According to reports from the Anadolu Agency, members of the group, who identify themselves as "Danske Patrioter" (Danish Patriots), displayed anti-Islamic banners and chanted offensive slogans during the demonstration.
The supporters of the group threw the Iraqi flag and the Quran onto the ground and trampled on them. The entire attack, which targeted the Quran, was live-streamed on the group's Facebook account.
The group claimed that they carried out the attack in protest against the assault on the Swedish Embassy in Baghdad.
