On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there is progress towards a deal for releasing Israeli hostages in Gaza.
Netanyahu's statements came during his meetings with a number of the Israeli soldiers who are participating in the strikes on Gaza.
He said: "We are making progress. I don't think it's worth saying too much, not at even this moment, but I hope there will be good news soon."
In addition, Netanyahu is expected to have a war cabinet meeting, tonight, "in light of developments in the matter of the release of our hostages.
In the same context, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh revealed that an agreement for the ceasefire in Gaza with Israel was close, Reuters reported.
Hamas revealed that they are "close to reaching a truce agreement" with Israel and they informed Qatari mediators with their response.
A source told Reuters that the agreement is in its "final stages" and "closer than it has ever been."
