On Friday, former First Lady Jehan Sadat passed away at the age of in Cairo.
Sadat suffered from a severe medical crisis a few weeks ago, and she was transported to the intensive care unite.
The Former First Lady was one of the influenced figures in the contemporary history of Egypt due to her participation in various historical acts such as sharing with medical volunteering teams during the 6th October 1973 war, in addition to her contributions in field related to women's right, and social laws.
Sadat also supported women in countryside to make use of their inpidual talents in handcrafting to gain more finicial support, in addition, she pushed a number of laws that allowed women who can't porce to attain their rights.
During her presence as first lady, women have the right to get 30 seats at the Egyptian parliament for the first time in Egypt.
After the death of her husband, Sadat continued her efforts in education field and international relation one after concluding several scientific degrees. The Former First Lady lectured in various prestigious venues around the world, furthermore, she had segnificant international recoginition.
She was of the strongest voices that support Egypt, and the Egyptian armed forces especially through the 30th June Revolution.
