A “professional swimmer” missing during a Channel crossing from England to France

A professional swimmer who was crossing the English Channel from England to France is missing, Agence France-Presse reported.

The French maritime authorities announced on Wednesday the Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations in the coastal area of ​​​​Green Nih, received Tuesday a notification of the disappearance.

They hastened to allocate two French and Belgian military helicopters, two boats belonging to the French Navy and the French gendarmerie, and a boat of marine rescuers for the search.

The authorities stated noted that they stopped the search operations that took hours and used great capabilities.
