Pro-Palestine Demonstrators in USA Try to Prevent Warship From Heading to Israel

Pro-Palestine demonstrators intercepted a US Navy warship, which was docked in the Port of Oakland in the US state of California.

According to the Times of Israel newspaper, protesters were trying to prevent the American ship from leaving California, on Friday morning.

The newspaper added that the protesters said that she was heading to Israel to provide military aid.

In a video clip, several protesters appear climbing a ladder aboard the ship MV Cape Orlando, in an attempt to prevent it from sailing, while some of them were chanting the phrase “cowards.”

In other clips of the same demonstration, activists were chanting: “Joe Biden, you cannot hide, we accuse you of genocide,” due to the US President’s support for Israel.

British media reported that the demonstrators claimed that the ship was on its way to the city of Tacoma in Washington state, to be loaded with weapons and military equipment before being transported to Israel.

But US officials denied these allegations and said that the ship was empty and had not operated for years.
