The Prince and Princess of Wales marked Valentine’s Day by sharing a romantic black-and-white photograph of themselves embracing outdoors, accompanied by a simple caption: “Happy Valentine’s Day” and a pink heart emoji, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The previously unpublished image was taken last April near their Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall, by photographer Josh Shinner, who is known for capturing official portraits of the royal couple.
This marks the second time in two years that the couple have publicly celebrated Valentine’s Day on social media.
On February 14, 2025, they shared a photograph of themselves kissing and holding hands during a picnic in a wooded area.
That earlier image was taken from a deeply personal video released by Kensington Palace in September 2024, when the Princess announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. She later confirmed that she is in recovery from cancer.
The Princess has spoken openly about how her illness reshaped her outlook on life, emphasizing the importance of love, connection, and the inspiration and strength she draws from nature.
Since then, the royal couple have adopted a more personal tone on social media. Last year, Prince William shared a heartfelt birthday message describing his wife as “the most wonderful wife and mother,” adding: “We love you.” Similar warm tributes have been posted for his birthday and Father’s Day, often accompanied by family photographs marking special occasions.
