On Friday, royal sources announced that the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip will remain for more days in the hospital according to The Guardian.

The main reason for the prince’s stay at the hospital is “observation and rest.’ This incident came months before the Duke of Edinburgh’s 100th birthday.

“Following consultation with his doctor, the Duke of Edinburgh is likely to remain in the hospital for observation and rest over the weekend and into next week. The doctor is acting with an abundance of caution. The duke remains in good spirits,” sources told the Associated Press.

The queen’s husband was admitted to King Edward VII’s hospital on Tuesday evening after feeling “unwell,” however, his case was a non-emergency admission.

Also, the sources asserted that this admission was not related to the COVID-19.

The last time the duke transformed into the hospital was last December for four nights on the advice of his doctor as “a precautionary measure.”

The prince spent the time of quarantine with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle and they received COVID-19 vaccine doses last January.
