On Sunday, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, participated in a charity dinner in New York City without his wife Meghan Markle.
The event, hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO), was dedicated to honor survivors of childhood violence.
The Duke of Sussex made several side talks with the attendance, including Belgium Queen, Queen Mathilda and actor Forest Whitaker at the gala.
He also delivered a keynote and urged the audience to provide more help for kids who face corporal punishment, bullying, online violence and sexual abuse, according to the Daily Mail.Prince Harry has a heavy week of activities.
On Friday night, he went to Kevin Costner’s charity concert where he presented an award to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office helicopter pilot Loren Courtney.
Regarding the absence of Markle, a source told the Mirror that Markle is “sick.”
On the other hand, Phil Dampier, author of “Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words,” told the Daily Mail that Harry is enjpying his solo trip.
Dampier added: “Harry sometimes feels like a spare part and he often looks unhappy when he’s out with Meghan at events in California."
“I think he has reached a point where he wants more for himself. He’s turned 40 and must be asking himself what the future holds.”
