Prince Harry can sue the UK government over the security plans for him and his wife in the UK after surrendering royal duties, Judge Jonathan Swift said on Friday.

The Duke of Sussex criticized the UK authorities for giving up all security duties and police protection after leaving the Royalty and moving to the US.

However, he offered to pay for police security during his return back to the UK which was met with the government's refusal.

Swift said that the case could have a full hearing session at the High Court in London."

He added: "a conclusion at the permission stage that a case is arguable is some distance from a conclusion that the case will succeed at a final hearing."

Until now, the date of the court was not announced. But, the Prince's lawyers said that the couple hesitated in bringing their children to the UK because it was not safe.

The Duke of Sussex team also revealed that he paid for security teams in the US, however, they couldn't work in the UK for securing him.

In 2020, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures removed his full protection and was not allowed him to make "informed representations beforehand," according to the Duke's lawyers.

Since surrendering the Royal rules, Harry visited the UK only three times in two years. The first one was for his grandfather's, Prince Philip, funeral, while the second was for revealing the honorary statue of Princess Diana, and the final was for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
