On Thursday, the Prince of Wales and the Crown Prince of the UK, Prince Charles met the Sultan of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tarek, at Clarence House in London, on the sidelines of the Sultan's visit to the UK.
The official Twitter account of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall tweeted: “The Sultan of Oman visited The Prince of Wales this afternoon, following his audience this morning with Her Majesty the Queen.”
It added: “The Sultan knows Britain well, having studied at Oxford and worked in the Embassy here for several years."

In the same context, the official Omani news agency reported that both leaders reviewed the means of enhancing mutual cooperation between both states in light of the deep-rooted ties between them.

It is worthy to mention that Prince Charles had his first overseas tour since the pandemic last month as he paid an official visit to Jordan and the UK with his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.
The Royal couple held a meeting with President Abdel Fattah Sisi and the first lady, Intisar Sisi.
Also, the Prince of Wales held several meetings with Egyptian officials, such as Pope Tawadros II, and they discussed the role of religion in climate change as well as violence against women, and how to address these issues.
