Prince Charles, Fouad Review Egypt's Green Policies

Minister of Environment Dr. Yasmin Fouad received on Friday Prince Charles, the Crown Prince of the British throne, at the Greek Campus.

The Prince of Wales visit to the Greek Campus came upon an invitation from the Minister of Environment and the British Embassy in Cairo to inspect the latest Egyptian youth's initiatives dedicated to environment and suitability related issues.

In addition, they called the senior Royality to participate at several sessions about the role of the banks and private sectors in supporting projects concerned with climate change.

Fouad asserted that President Abdel Fattah Sisi's cares and concerns of the aftermath of the climate change, and he supports any eco-friendly moves and policies. She also referred to the major Presidential green campaign, "Ethadar Lel Akhdar," for raising the awareness of environment related topics.

Next, she reviewed to the heir of the British crown the recent green policies adopted by banks and private sectors in facilitating the presence of green projects in Egypt, and widening the opportunities of investment in the field of clean and renewable energy.

On his side, Prince Charles asked about Egypt's moves to host the upcoming COP27, and its preparation for the summit.

Fouad revealed that there are several decisions and directives that concerned with setting a full vision for adaption to the latest environmental changes, and radical changes.

It is worthy to mention that Prince Charles, and his wife, Duchess of Cornwell Camilla arrived in Egypt on Thursday, coming from Jordan.

The Royal couple had a meeting with President Abdel Fattah Sisi, and the First Lady Intisar Sisi, before they had several visits and meetings with several officials.
