Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly delivered Egypt's speech today, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus Summit hosted by the Chinese city of Tianjin.

He said: "It goes without saying that Egypt is making intensive efforts, in cooperation with all partners, to achieve a ceasefire. Here, I would like to emphasize that it is essential for Israel to accept the current proposal for a temporary ceasefire during which negotiations will take place on ways to end the war and rebuild the Gaza Strip in accordance with the Arab-Islamic plan, in addition to working to advance a political process that ensures the implementation of the two-state solution."

The Prime Minister continued: "Egypt affirms that the establishment of a unified Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, remains the only path to a just and comprehensive solution that restores stability to the region and the world."

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that Egypt values the "SCO Plus" format as a platform for enhancing consultations and promoting cooperation among member states, the organization's dialogue partners, and other like-minded countries.

He added, "In this context, I would like to emphasize the importance of making efforts to reform the global order to make it more just, as well as the importance of supporting the role of the United Nations in the international order based on international law."
