Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, stated that chickenpox was more common among children, according to Hadith Al-Qahira Program, aired on Al-Qahira Wal Nas Channel.
Chickenpox is a contagious disease with symptoms including fever, sore throat, headache, runny nose, and skin rash.
Tag El-Din confirmed that no higher-than-usual number of cases had been detected for that time of year.
He advised parents to keep any child showing respiratory symptoms at home for a week.
