Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Wednesday Egypt has 1393 vaccination centers across all governorates.
In televised remarks, Tag El-Din added 50 million citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 so far.
He also added that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the governmet to provide all types of internationally-approved coronavirus vaccines, noting that he follows up daily the number and types of vaccines imported into Egypt.
It is worth mentioing that, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported on Wednesday 879 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 371,698 .
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,203 nationwide after the ministry announced 48 deaths.
About 525 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 309,354.
