Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said that about 15 million Egyptians received the Coronavirus vaccine.
In press remarks to the 'DMC' TV channel, Tag El-Din added that different types of COVID-19 vaccines are now available in all vaccination centers across the republic.
Moreover, he added that the government is exerting utmost efforts to vaccinate universities' students, staff, and workers before the new academic year.
In addition, the presidential advisor urged all citizens to be careful and adhere to the precautionary measures to avoid infection with the Coronavirus.
On Sunday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 768 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 306,798.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 17436 nationwide after the ministry announced 37 deaths.
About 695 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 258947.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
