Hours ago, Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din confirmed that the numbers of new Coronavirus cases in Egypt are increasing on a daily basis.

Tag El-Din pointed out that the data announced by the Ministry of Health and Population are right, but there are other cases than that that have not been subjected to a swab, as the Coronavirus symptoms are similar to the seasonal influenza virus ones.

“In addition, there are many cases that are being treated in homes and other places that are not among the announced figures," he added.

The Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs stated that the supreme Committee  for Coronavirus Crisis Management headed by the Prime Minister holds a meeting, on Sunday, to discuss  the dimensions of the Coronavirus crisis and study the situation.

Noteworthy, Egypt saw on Saturday a rise in the daily coronavirus cases, confirming 1,189 new infections, raising the total cases to 131,315 since the beginning of the virus outbreak.

“Forty-three more deaths were confirmed; raising the total number to 7,352,” Khaled Megahed, the Health Ministry’s spokesman, said in a statement.

“Up to 109,462 coronavirus patients have recovered so far,” the spokesman said.
