On Saturday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi underscored the nation's efforts led by religious scholars, Al-Azhar, and the Ministry of Awqaf to promote a correct understanding of Islam's inherently peaceful and moderate principles.

Speaking during the Laylat al-Qadr celebrations, President Sisi emphasized the critical work being done to confront and counteract extremism and misguided beliefs.

He also delved into the essence of Laylat al-Qadr, a night revered for its profound spiritual significance in Islam, underscoring it as a time for reflecting on the virtues of divine generosity, characterized by righteousness, commitment, and the pursuit of God's approval. He firmly stated that blessings and forgiveness from God are contingent upon sincere action and perseverance.

"In our current times, fraught with challenges, the values and meanings of Laylat al-Qadr are more pertinent than ever," President Sisi stated. He commended the unwavering spirit of Egyptians working tirelessly across all sectors to navigate through these adversities, aiming to secure Egypt's welfare, elevate its stature, and forge a fitting future for the nation. Additionally, President Sisi reiterated Egypt's unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
