President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, said that the President welcomed the ceasefire announcement in Lebanon during the call, praising the efforts undertaken by the Lebanese state to extend the authority of national institutions throughout Lebanon. He also commended the endeavors aimed at restoring security and stability and ensuring the sustainability of the ceasefire.
In this context, the President reviewed Egypt's efforts to support Lebanon and distance it from current regional tensions and crises, emphasizing Egypt's complete condemnation of any aggression against the security, sovereignty, and resources of Lebanon and its brotherly people.
