President Abdel Fattah Sisi received on Tuesday the Greek and Cypriot young people that partake in the new round of the "Nostos - The Return" program.

Ambassador Bassam Rady, the spokesperson of the presidency, said that President Sisi welcomed the Greek and Cypriot delegation, asserting that the main target of the "Nostos" program is representing the principles of friendship, peace, and brotherhood among Egypt, Greece, Cyprus. In addition, it reflects Egypt's appreciation of the historical humanitarian heritage that Egypt's foreign residents created.
Moreover, the President underscored Egypt's interest in enhancing the bridges of communication between the three countries, alongside depending on the efforts of youth in deepening the trilateral ties between the three countries and adapting the mutual situations for common-interest issues.
During the open dialogue between President Sisi, and the program's participants, they expressed their appreciation for meeting President Sisi, asserting, Egypt's importance as a symbol for tolerance, and acceptance. They added that people used to live in Egypt freely without facing any form of discrimination such as Greeks and Cypriots who resident Egypt and contributed to the artistic and cultural life in it.
Furthermore, the meeting reviewed the history of the Greek and Cypriot communities in Egypt and the influence of the Greeks and Cypriots in Egyptian history and identity.
The participants also praised the recent Egyptian mega projects after visiting them, alongside visiting several tourist destinations.
