President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met on Monday with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit taking place in Doha.
The meeting between the two leaders came in the context of the summit’s deliberations on the Israeli escalation and the urgent regional challenges facing the Arab and Islamic worlds.
The discussions between Sisi and Erdoğan underscored a shared determination to strengthen coordination between Cairo and Ankara on issues of common concern, particularly in supporting the Palestinian cause and reinforcing joint Arab and Islamic action in the face of regional crises.
