Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The call focused on the situation in the Palestinian territories, where Egyptian efforts were reviewed to implement the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip in cooperation with Qatar and the United States, and to send humanitarian aid to the Strip to confront the humanitarian tragedy to which the people of Gaza are exposed, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official presidential spokesman said.
For his part, the Malaysian Prime Minister praised the tireless Egyptian efforts to support the Palestinian brothers, stop bloodshed, and restore calm in the region.
The official spokesman explained that president Sisi and the Malaysian PM stressed their countries’ refusal to displace Palestinians from their lands, in order not to liquidate the Palestinian issue.
They also stressed the need to intensify international efforts to establish a Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
