President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Kuwaiti Emir, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at the Bayan Palace (Amiri Diwan), marking the conclusion of his official state visit to Kuwait.

The meeting was attended by the official delegations of both countries.

The meeting began with an expanded session involving both delegations, followed by a bilateral discussion between the two leaders.

Kuwaiti Emir also hosted a luncheon in honor of President El-Sisi.

During the talks, Sheikh Mishal warmly welcomed President Sisi, emphasizing that the visit reflects the depth of the distinguished bilateral relations and represents an opportunity to further enhance cooperation, particularly in economic and investment sectors.

Kuwaiti Emir also expressed appreciation for Egypt’s historic and pivotal role in supporting the development of Gulf nations and promoting regional stability.

For his part, Sisi expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and praised the achievements and progress of Kuwait under the leadership of the Emir.

He reaffirmed Egypt’s pride in its close historical ties with Kuwait and stressed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across all fields, especially in boosting economic relations and increasing trade and investment exchanges to serve the mutual interests of both peoples.

The meeting included an exchange of views on regional developments, with particular focus on the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip.

The two leaders underscored the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, the continued exchange of hostages and detainees, and the unimpeded entry of sufficient humanitarian aid.

They also voiced their full support for the Arab recovery and reconstruction plan for Gaza, stressing the importance of its implementation immediately following a ceasefire.

Both leaders firmly rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians and reiterated the necessity of a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The discussions also covered the situations in Syria and Sudan, where both leaders expressed support for the unity and stability of the two countries.

They reaffirmed their backing for Yemen’s legitimate government and stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability in the Red Sea and regional waterways.
