President Abdel Fattah El Sisi paid on Friday an inspection tour of the Middle Ring Road; the widest highway in the Middle East, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
Sisi also toured fresh road projects.
The president discussed with one of the workers there the progress of work and the current executive situation of the construction process.

He stressed the importance of adhering to timetables set for the finalization of works in accordance with the highest technical and engineering specifications.
The Middle Ring Road is a traffic hub around the capital, extending from Cairo-Belbeis Road to Dabaa Axis, with a total of 155 km. It serves all the governorates of Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt and Canal.

It also connects the new cities (El-Obour – El-Shorouk – El-Mostakbal- 6th of October – El-Sheikh Zayed – New Administrative Capital).
