President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the Egyptian Women and Ideal Mothers Gathering, attended by Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Environment Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad Mikhail, Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, and National Council for Women President Counselor Amal Ammar, along with several female leaders and Egyptian women from various fields.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that President El-Sisi listened to a speech by Counselor Amal Ammar, who reviewed the council’s efforts in supporting and empowering Egyptian women, particularly in social empowerment, leadership roles, and the development of the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030.
The event included presentations by Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy and Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, highlighting government efforts to support Egyptian women.
These efforts focus on social protection programs such as "Takaful and Karama," increasing financial aid for Egyptian families and female breadwinners, and enhancing women's economic empowerment under Egypt’s Vision 2030. The President also watched a documentary showcasing the state’s efforts to support Egyptian women.
The spokesperson noted that the gathering featured an interactive discussion between President El-Sisi and several participants on topics related to women, motherhood, childhood, Alzheimer's disease, and the role of art and media in shaping Egyptian identity and public taste, as well as the contributions of female social pioneers.
In his closing remarks, President El-Sisi emphasized the pivotal role of women in nation-building and development, praising the remarkable progress Egyptian women have achieved in various fields.
At the start of his speech, the President extended his greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, which coincides with the Great Lent observed by Christian Egyptians. He said:
"Wishing you all well, may these blessed days bring goodness, prosperity, and blessings upon us all."
He continued, "On this day, which embodies the highest forms of giving, and where the suns of love and loyalty shine, we gather to honor Egypt’s great mothers, symbols of sacrifice, resilience, and inspiration. Today, we express our deep appreciation for the Egyptian woman, who has always been the lifeblood of this nation and a true partner in building its glory."
