President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam for an official visit to Tanzania.
He was received at the airport by Tanzanian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Egyptian Ambassador Sherif Ismail and members of the Egyptian embassy.
President El-Sisi was later welcomed by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan during an official reception ceremony at the presidential palace.
The two presidents are scheduled to hold a closed bilateral meeting, followed by expanded talks between the Egyptian and Tanzanian delegations.
The discussions are expected to address bilateral relations and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in several fields.
El-Sisi and Hassan will also witness the signing of several memoranda of understanding before holding a joint press conference.
