Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is heading to France today to take part in the G7 Summit, which is being held in the French city of Évian.
The summit brings together the heads of state and government of the G7 member countries, along with a number of invited states, including Egypt, which is participating as a partner country.
President El-Sisi’s participation reflects Egypt’s growing role in international discussions on political, economic and development issues, as well as its engagement with major global powers on matters of common concern.
The G7 Summit is expected to address a range of international priorities, including global economic challenges, regional security, energy, climate, development cooperation and ways to strengthen coordination with partner countries.
