President Sisi Discusses Cooperation with COPELOUZOS GROUP

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received President of COPELOUZOS GROUP, Mr. Dimitris Copelouzos , in the presence of Dr. prime minister Mostafa Madbouly,  Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mohamed Shaker, and a number of senior officials of the Greek company.

The meeting focused on reviewing opportunities for cooperation with the Greek company to implement electricity production projects from renewable energy sources in Egypt, and transferring it to Europe via Greece through the electrical connection between the two countries, in order to maximize the benefit from the modern infrastructure established and developed in Egypt in the field of electricity during the past few years, in addition to the natural resources it enjoys such as wind and solar energy sources, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman for the Presidency said.

In this context, they agreed to continue the ongoing studies to crystallize joint cooperation with the "COPELOUZOS " group to establish projects for the production and transfer of clean energy from Egypt to Europe via Greece, in order to consolidate Egypt's position as a regional hub and center for energy circulation.
