President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has delegated Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki to lay a wreath of flowers on the tomb of late President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Dozens of lovers of late President Gamal Abdel Nasser participated in the commemoration of the 51st anniversary of his death, raising the flags of Arab countries and pictures of the 6 Palestinian prisoners who escaped from the occupation prisons.

The celebration was organized by the Arab Democratic Nasserist Party and its leaders,  Dr. Muhammad Abu El-Ela, head of the Nasserite party, Dr. Jamal Zahran, and a number of leaders of the Nasserist party, in addition to lovers of President Abdel Nasser from the countries of Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq, including the former Lebanese minister Abdel Rahim Murad.

51 years ago, on this same day, September 28, 1970, the Arab world lost one of the most prominent and sincere leaders of this nation, the late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The late president was an Egyptian politician who served as the second president of Egypt from 1954 until his death in 1970.

Nasser's popularity in Egypt and the Arab world skyrocketed after his nationalization of the Suez Canal Company and his political victory in the subsequent Suez Crisis, known in Egypt as the Tripartite Aggression.

Calls for pan-Arab unity under his leadership increased, culminating with the formation of the United Arab Republic with Syria from 1958 to 1961. In 1962, Nasser began a series of major socialist measures and modernization reforms in Egypt
