President Sisi Congratulates Central African Republic’s Leader on Third-Term Re-Election

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of Egypt, held a phone call on Tuesday with Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, to congratulate him on his re-election for a third presidential term.

According to presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy, President El-Sisi extended his congratulations to Touadéra on the successful organization of the presidential, parliamentary, and municipal elections, which were held simultaneously. He praised the Central African Republic’s ability to conduct the electoral process in an orderly manner.

The call also reviewed prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and the Central African Republic. El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for efforts aimed at achieving stability and development in the Central African Republic and expressed Egypt’s readiness to provide technical assistance and capacity-building support in priority sectors.

For his part, President Touadéra expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi’s congratulations, underscoring his country’s keenness to deepen cooperation with Egypt. He highlighted his interest in benefiting from Egypt’s expertise, particularly in economic and security-related fields, and commended Cairo’s active role in promoting stability and development across the African continent.
