President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Sheikh El-Ghazouani, during which the two presidents affirmed their keenness to advance the process of cooperation between the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
The President was keen to confirm Egypt’s support for Mauritania’s current presidency of the African Union, in order to achieve the goals of the peoples of the continent in stability and development.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic explained that the call also focused on regional developments, such as the situation in the Middle East.
The two presidents stressed their countries’ keenness to preserve the unity and sovereignty of sisterly Libya and restore security and stability there.
