President Sisi Arrives Washington to Participate at US-Africa Summit

A few minutes ago, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived in Washington to participate in the US-Africa Summit.

The 2nd “US-African” summit kicked off on Tuesday in Washington, in the presence of leaders from all over the African continent.

The summit will last for 3 days, from December 13 to 15, 2022. US President Joe Biden invited 49 African heads of state.

The US excluded 4 countries currently suspended by the African Union (AU).

Representatives of about 50 African countries, including heads of state and government, civil society and the private sector, as well as officials of US administration and the African Union (AU) Commission, will participate in the summit - the second of its kind after the Obama summit in 2014.

Earlier, US President said he is looking forward to working with African governments, civil society, the private sector to advance shared vision for the future of US-Africa relations.
