On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 33rd session of the Arab League Summit, held in Manama, the capital city.
Upon his arrival, President El-Sisi met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, discussing matters of mutual interest on the sidelines of the summit, which commences tomorrow, Thursday.
During his visit, President El-Sisi is scheduled to engage in several bilateral meetings with fellow Arab leaders. The discussions aim to enhance cooperation and coordinate joint efforts, underscoring Egypt's commitment to regional unity and solidarity amidst significant challenges facing the Arab world.
Presidential spokesperson Dr. Ahmed Fahmi stated that President El-Sisi's participation in the summit underscores Egypt's dedication to collaborating with Arab nations to unify their stances during this critical period for the region. The summit will extensively address the Israeli aggression in Gaza, focusing on resolving the current crisis to prevent further Palestinian casualties and address the escalating humanitarian disaster in the sector, exacerbated by ongoing Israeli military operations in Rafah.
Furthermore, the summit will examine the situations in various Arab countries, exploring ways to restore stability amidst the significant crises impacting the region, particularly given the rapid international and regional changes. The leaders will also review the progress of joint Arab efforts aimed at supporting developmental initiatives for the benefit of all Arab peoples.
