President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Athens on Tuesday to hold talks with Greek Prime Minister (PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.
The tripartite summit aims to build on achievements of the past eight summits, evaluate development in various areas of cooperation and follow up on projects being implemented within the framework of the trilateral cooperation mechanism, presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Moreover, it aims at supporting and deepening political consultation among the three countries on ways to address current challenges facing the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean regions, the spokesman added.
