President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in New Delhi on the sidelines of the ongoing G20 Summit.
This was the first formal meeting between both leaders in a decade.
The Spokesperson of the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy said that both leaders asserted the importance of mutual work, and achieving progress in mutual ties.
They also expressed their keenness to enhance regional cooperation based on respect, interest, and honest intentions which support the stability and the security of the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Spokesperson of the Presidency highlighted that both leaders exchanged their points of view about various common-interest regional issues.
