President El-Sisi Follows Up on Strategic Pillars for Developing the Telecommunications Industry

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, Presidential Advisor for Financial Affairs Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Shazly, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Major General Khaled Ahmed Abdullah, Director of the Armed Forces Signal Corps Major General Hani Mahmoud Mansour, and CEO of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Engineer Mohamed Shamroukh.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President followed up during the meeting on the strategic pillars for developing the telecommunications industry in Egypt and the efforts being made to strengthen the knowledge-based economy.

In this regard; The Minister of Communications and Information Technology reviewed the package of services recently launched, most notably 5G mobile services, which represent a qualitative leap in communications services and enhance network quality and speeds across various regions.

Also highlighted was the WiFi Calling service, which has successfully improved call quality, particularly in areas with weak or no coverage. Additionally, the Minister announced the opening of the National Center for Spectrum Usage Monitoring, a significant addition to the national infrastructure for spectrum management and monitoring. Equipped with state-of-the-art wireless monitoring systems, the center includes fixed and mobile monitoring stations and portable equipment for highly accurate spectrum occupancy measurements.
