On Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed speeding up the talks and coordination efforts for receiving newborn babies from Gaza hospitals.
Local media reports highlighted that there are concentrated talks by the Egyptian authorities to receive newborn babies who are treated in Gaza's hospitals to save their lives.
Earlier, an injured Palestinian child was evacuated from Gaza to Egypt for medical treatment on Thursday, following instructions from Egypt's President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi.
The child was at risk of leg amputation due to Israeli shelling and had been stuck at the Rafah Border Crossing.
President El-Sisi also directed the relevant authorities to quickly coordinate the transfer of newborn babies from the Gaza Strip to receive medical attention in Egypt.
