President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the call addressed current regional developments. The President affirmed Egypt's categorical rejection of Iranian aggression against Arab states, emphasizing Egypt's full support for the security and sovereignty of its sister nations and the necessity of ending the war and striving towards peaceful solutions that preserve the resources of the people and achieve stability in the region.
For his part, the Greek Prime Minister expressed his agreement with the President's remarks, warning of the negative repercussions of the ongoing war on regional stability and the global economy. He affirmed his country's keenness, particularly given its current membership on the UN Security Council, to listen to the Egyptian perspective in order to prevent further escalation.
