“We have found tissue that we believe could be remains, but we'll have that examined and let you know at that time,” Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said, adding that police could not say whether it potentially came from someone inside the RV.

Police mentioned that they don't yet know a motive or target, and Drake noted that officials had not received any threats before the explosion.

Trump and Biden were briefed on the Christmas morning incident, their spokespeople said.

“The president will continue to receive regular updates,” White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement, noting that he “is grateful for the incredible first responders and praying for those who were injured.”

On the other hand, the Biden-Harris transition team said in its own statement that Biden and his wife Jill “thank all the first responders working today in response to the incident, and wish those who were injured a speedy recovery.”

The Nashville explosion left at least three people hurt, as they have been transported to hospitals, CNN reported, noting that there aren't yet any reports of critical injuries, according to a representative of the Nashville fire department.

“This morning's attack on our community was intended to create chaos and fear in this season of peace and hope.” Mayor John Cooper said at a news conference after issuing a curfew for the area. “But Nashvillians have proven time and time again that the spirit of our city cannot be broken.”

“It’s unfortunate, but any other morning I think it would’ve been a much worse story to be sure because there were so few people out,” Cooper added in the press conference.

The explosion took place outside of an AT&T transmission building. The company told the AP the blast interrupted service, but declined to say how widespread outages were.

In a statement Friday evening, AT&T said it was "putting the full-force of our disaster recovery effort" into responding to the explosion and restoring service.

“Given the damage to our facility, it will take time to restore service. We have already rerouted significant traffic from this facility and are bringing in other equipment, including numerous portable cell sites to the area,” the company said in a statement on its website. “We're grateful for the work of law enforcement as they investigate this event while enabling us to restore service for our customers”
