On Wednesday, Pope Tawadros II, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, greeted President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and all citizens on Monday on the 9th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.
In a cable, the Church explained that the June 30th revolution will remain a historical memory in the Egyptian history, as millions of Egyptians took to streets, demonstrating against plans to obliterate the identity of the country and uphold the values of justice, development and citizenship, .
The statement concluded, "May God protect Egypt, its people and leadership, and guided its steps on the path towards the new republic."
Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamad Zaki and Army Chief of Staff Osama Askar sent a cable to the president on the same occasion.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli also greeted President Abdel Fattah, the government members and the Egyptian people on the ninth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, which, he said, will remain a milestone in Egypt's history.
