Pope Leo XIV renewed his call for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, expressing his regret over the continuing destruction and bloodshed caused by the war.
"The voices of weapons must be silenced and the voices of brotherhood and justice must be raised," the Pope said, according to Vatican News. He added that the time has come for decision-makers to abandon the logic of military force and take the path of negotiation and peace with the support of the international community.
