Pope Francis will arrive in Buddhist-majority Mongolia next Friday, on a five-day visit.
During a mass held in St. Peter's Square on Sunday, Pope Francis expressed his aspiration and readiness to meet the people of Mongolia, whom he described as "noble and wise, and enjoy great religious traditions."
During the visit, Pope Francis is scheduled to meet with the political authorities and address representatives of the Church and join an inter-religious gathering before celebrating mass in a sports arena.
On the other hand, Pope Francis expressed his condolences to the victims of the fires in Greece, stressing the need not to forget the "suffering" of the Ukrainian people.
